Analysts are responsible for the completion of qualitative and quantitative research and analysis projects, and are involved in nearly all aspects of project work, interacting closely with other analysts, economists and case supervisors in researching and analyzing data used to prepare final work product. Analysts are expected, at a minimum, to perform this work after having been given clear instructions. They are also expected to demonstrate sound analytical judgment and to progress to a level of initiative consistent with the ability to satisfactorily recommend appropriate research, analyses and actions and to implement them with continued consultation of supervisors.

Midd Alum Offering Financial Inclusion Internship in Madagascar
Middlebury alumna, Elizabeth Toder ’90, who has spent several J-Terms teaching a class called “Extending Financial Services to the Unbanked,” which explored microfinance, microinsurance and the use of technology to achieve financial inclusion in developing countries, is now generously offering a summer internship to work with her on this very issue. She is now a Resident Banking Advisor for the U.S. Department of Treasury working in Madagascar with their Ministry of Finance on developing microinsurance products with the 25+ MFIs in the region. She has posted to Handshake a 10-week Financial Inclusion Internship, which is CCI-sponsored, working with her in Madagascar on this project and is seeking students who might have the right qualifications: French speakers, those studying/interested in development economics, and are juniors or senior Febs. (seniors can apply but will not get the CCI-sponsored funding, however, the employer is providing housing and stipend for local transportation).

Business Strategy & Consulting Summer Internships in Vermont

Interns will participate in an orientation in April and should expect to spend 30-40 hours per week for 8 weeks during June and July on this internship, primarily working on their projects, but also including a weekly review and learning sessions with the other interns and the internship director.
