The Fellowship program provides opportunities for new college graduates interested in social impact careers to be part of organizations that are deeply committed to social justice and equity. Through a combination of direct service and leadership challenges, professional development and mentoring, Fellows gain first-hand experience leading change and learn how effective nonprofits create lasting and measurable progress. Host organizations this year include The Barnes Foundation (Philadelphia), the Museum of Science (Boston), and the Whitney Museum (New York), Jumpstart and Year Up (New York and Boston).

Fulbright UK Summer Institute Application Opens Nov 30!

The Fulbright UK Summer Institutes are three to four week programmes for US undergraduate students, who have no or very little travel experience outside North America. Participants can explore the culture, heritage and history of the UK while experiencing higher education at a UK university.

Students will have the opportunity to:

  • Study alongside leading academics and professionals
  • Develop knowledge in specific fields
  • Experience cultural and social events
  • Visit UK cultural sites and areas of scenic beauty
  • Receive credit to transfer to their home institution
  • Meet people from different backgrounds and cultures
  • Become an ambassador for studying in the UK, for the Fulbright Commission and their host institution(s)

The Institute costs covered by the Fulbright Commission and its partner institutions include:

  • Round-trip airfare
  • Tuition and fees at the host institution
  • Accommodation
  • In some cases, a small daily allowance for meals

To be eligible, students must:

  • Be a US citizen and possess a US passport
  • Have had no or very little study/travel experience outside of North America
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.7
  • Be at least 18 years old by the start of the programme
  • Be able to participate in the programme in its entirety
  • Have at least two years of undergraduate study remaining after the Institute finishes

Info Session Nov 28 for Coro Northern California Fellows Program in Public Affairs

Since 1942, Coro has strengthened the democratic process by preparing people to work and lead across differences and across all sectors, fueling positive change.  Our full time, graduate-level public affairs program equips emerging leaders with the tools, knowledge, and networks to pursue careers in public service. Our alumni work in every sector and in all professions—creating, governing, and leading with extraordinary skill and vision. 
Competitively selected applicants will join a cohort of 9-12 fellows and learn through several components of the fellowship:

  • Field placements across 5 sectors (business, non-profit, government, political campaigns, and labor)
  • Leadership development seminars to develop critical thinking, analytical, governance, and leadership skills
  • Engage and learn the art of inquiry from interviews with influential leaders across the Bay Area

Fulbright and Watson Updates—Aug. 15 Fulbright Intent to Apply Deadline and Aug. 30 Drop-In Advising

For those applying for a 2023-24 Fulbright or Watson Fellowship, the internal application deadlines are coming soon—Wednesday, 9/7 for Watson and Thursday, 9/8 for Fulbright.

If you are applying for a Fulbright, Monday, August 15 is the Intent to Apply Deadline.
Meeting this deadline insures you will receive feedback on your application and a copy of your transcript to upload prior to the 9/8 internal deadline. For details see go.middlebury.edu/fulbright.
