The Clemmons Family Farm (CFF) offers community programs that bring people together to learn about and celebrate African American heritage.
CFF is looking for a student Arts, Culture and History intern for 30 hours a week from June 1 through mid- August, 2019 (start and end dates are somewhat flexible based on the student’s availability).The intern will assist our core team of collaborating artists in planning, developing and overseeing visual arts, culinary arts and performing arts programs for children, youth and adults at the Farm.
Other opportunities may include: researching African-American contributions to Vermont, cataloging Farm videos, assisting at events, leading tours for visiting youth and college students, and welcoming visitors to the Farm during workshops and retreats. Students who are studying African-American or African Diaspora history, art and culture, and/or who self-identify as being African American or of African descent are especially encouraged to apply for this internship. Applicants should have good communication skills, be able to work independently and have an interest in the Farm’s mission and African and African Diaspora culture, history and arts. CFF can provide a transportation stipend to facilitate the intern’s transportation to and from the Farm.
