Online scholar Q&A on July 6: Fauzan Reza Maulana (2020 cohort) from Indonesia answers your questions about what it’s like to be a KHS scholar and a Stanford graduate student. 

[New] Online application workshop on July 20: Already started your application? In an interactive session, an admission officer will walk you and other prospective scholars through the KHS application, highlighting requirements and sharing tips for navigating the admission process.

Summer Info Sessions for Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans (@PDSoros) is a $90,000 fellowship for immigrants and children of immigrants going to graduate school in the United States. If you are an immigrant or child of immigrants who will be a college senior this fall, a college graduate who is applying to graduate school this fall, or someone in the first or second year of a graduate program you’ll be in during the 2024-2025 academic year, consider applying. You can be pursuing any type of professional or graduate degree—including master’s degrees, MFAs, JDs, PhDs, MDs, MBAs, MPPs, Marchs, and the list goes on! 

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans has two upcoming 30 minute virtual information sessions you can attend:

Samvid Scholarship for Graduate Degree Funding

Samvid Scholarship Overview 

Samvid Scholars is a merit-based graduate scholarship and leadership program for changemakers. Samvid Scholars was established in 2021 by Samvid Ventures to invest in the graduate education of future leaders who are committed to effecting positive change in society. 

The Samvid Scholars program supports up to $50,000 per year for two years of graduate study. In addition to funding for their graduate program, each Scholar will receive two years of leadership development programming to support them to continue to fulfill their extraordinary potential. For example, our 2022 cohort has participated in an annual summer conference, regional dinner on campus, peer discussion groups, and seminars led by the Aspen Institute. 

An eligible candidate will:   

  • Pursue a full-time graduate program of 2 years or longer at a university in the United States, in one of the following eligible programs: MD, MBA, JD, MPP/MPA, MPH, or MS/MA in the social sciences or STEM
  • Be a first-year graduate student for the 2023-2024 academic year   
  • Have an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.5   
  • Be a U.S. citizen or DACA recipient

Knight-Hennessy Information Session on Wed 4/20! Register now!

Join us for an in-person information session about the Knight-Hennessy Scholarship at Stanford University on Wednesday, April 20 from 4:30-5:30pm in Library 201. A representative from the program will be on hand to answer your questions. Knight-Hennessy scholars receive full financial support to pursue a degree in any graduate program at Stanford – from PhDs in education, engineering, humanities, and sciences to arts degrees like DMA or MFA to professional degrees like JD, MBA, or MD.
