All folklore is an expression of resilience. For this work in progress showing choreographer Miguel Alejandro Castillo and musician Daniella Barbarito imagine a fictional folkloric festivity inspired by vibrancy of Venezuelan Afro-Caribbean traditions and celebrate the ongoing construction of the Venezuelan diaspora.
