    • The position will involve moderately complex work assignments as well as documenting laboratory work and maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies. Candidate must also be able to collaborate with research staff, independently conduct testing and review results for accuracy and completeness. Preference will be given to candidates who display a strong ability and willingness to be cross trained by experienced team members in a multidisciplinary biomedical scientific team.

Working in the laboratory to process and analyze samples using Gas Chromatography (GC) with FID/ECD/MS detection, Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC), and High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
  • Research Technologist
    • Under general direction, the Pathology Research Technologist will perform a variety of tasks in the Pathology and Histology laboratories. Work will include grossing (trimming) in animal tissue samples, embedding, microtomy, automated and manual staining (including special staining), and cover slipping of paraffin processed tissue. Additional duties include laboratory equipment maintenance, preparing solutions, assisting in digital slide scanning, and administrative support for the pathology department. Work may also include working with animals to perform a variety of routine procedures.

    • Will perform a variety of tasks following established techniques and procedures. Perform experimental procedures and surgeries, tissue processing, perform histochemical stainings, imaging and analysis, animal and behavioral testing. Will be responsible for preparation and maintenance of the equipment, ordering supplies and animals. Works with a variety of animal species and tasks will involve both in-vivo and in-vitro procedures.
