Professor of the Practice Frank Van Gansbeke will open his class to all interested students to hear guest lecturer Tammy Newmark. She will speak in his Intro to Finance and Investment Management courses. Her topic will be “All you ever wanted to know about setting up a VC Fund and term sheets”.

Tammy E. Newmark is CEO and Managing Partner at EcoEnterprise Fund. A leader in impact investing, Tammy Newmark has a track record of over thirty years in the field. For two decades, she has been the investment manager for EcoEnterprises Fund: EcoEnterprises Partners III, LP, EcoEnterprises Partners II, LP and Fondo EcoEmpresas, S.A (for The Nature Conservancy).  Prior to this, she was a founding officer of Environmental Enterprises Assistance Fund, the first venture fund that specialized in small-scale renewable energy, clean technology, and green investments in emerging markets. She has also worked for the International Finance Corporation and JPMorgan Chase. Newmark is co-author of Portfolio for the Planet: Lessons from 10 years of impact investing (Earthscan/Routledge Press).  Newmark has an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Tammy Newmark is a pioneer in the emerging field of Impact Investing.  Newmark leads EcoEnterprises Fund (ecoenterprisesfund.com), a VC firm focused on investing growth capital in small companies working in Latin America which encourage the sustainable use of natural resources, preserve ecosystems and bio-diverse working landscapes, and mitigate climate risk.
