Northwell Health is seeking a clinical project coordinator for their of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, to begin in June 2019. This is a great opportunity for anyone taking a gap year and applying to medical school to gain clinical experience, letters of recommendation, and connections with internationally-renowned surgeons from the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

Responsibilities include projects related to patient education and patient outreach, as well as administrative duties such as maintaining a patient database. There are opportunities to work on clinical research projects and publications with faculty members. As a member of a small office, this position involves direct interaction with the patients, doctors and clinical staff.

There will also be opportunities to attend grand rounds, presentations, and conferences with plastic surgery residents and faculty members.

Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills and a positive attitude are crucial!

This is a one-year, paid, full-time position intended for a current senior who will be applying to medical school immediately following graduation. Time off will regularly be granted to attend medical school interviews during the year.
