Nadani in her own words: “I’m a junior Computer Science major and Gender, Sexuality & Feminism Studies minor from Kingston, Jamaica. At Middlebury, in addition to CS and GSFS, I’ve taken classes in Middle Eastern History, Dance, Math, Sociology/Anthropology and Chemistry. At Middlebury, I’m involved in RIDDIM World Dance Troupe as the Treasurer for 2018-2019, Pan Caribbean Student Organization (PCSO), Black Student Union (BSU), the American Chemical Society, Women in Computer Science (wiCs++) and Steam Girls as one of the Co-directors. I’m interested in the role technology plays in our world today: the challenges and benefits. Simply, the factors, ideas and beliefs that make it a controversial tool and how it is used in our 21st century world.
On campus, I’ve worked as the Dance Technical Director and Performing Arts Series Intern. In Summer 2017, I interned at the Office of Digital Learning and Inquiry here on campus as the Digital Pedagogy and Instructional Design intern. During my internship, I created an app for the Middlebury Museum of Art, developed and design WordPress sites, researched critical digital pedagogy and more. Last summer, I interned at Team4Tech on a project in Costa Rica focused on improving education through technological implementations and teacher training. I love to swim, dance, plan and organize events, practice yoga and garden. I’m excited to be a PCA and look forward to meeting you and answering any and all questions you may have.”
Nadani is an incredible resource and we are thrilled to have her part of our team!
