Dear Students interested in finance and business:

The Professor of the Practice Program is working hard to improve the college’s offerings for students interested in going into finance, business and enterprise more generally. In the fall we are offering the following courses:

  • Accounting and Budgeting INTD 116
  • Intro to Business INTD 0120
  • Introduction to Finance INTD 0217
  • Management and Enterprise INTD 220
  • Capital Markets INTD 0320

Because we are still organizing the program, and have not publicized the courses widely, we still have significant openings in the Finance and Capital Markets courses as well as a smaller number of slots in other courses. We do not see these open slots continuing in the spring semester, or beyond, so if you are interested in taking either the finance or the capital markets course while here at Middlebury, we encourage you to consider taking them this semester.

The finance course serves as a gateway course for the higher level courses in Investments and Capital Markets, and is good preparation for those planning finance internships. We will be adding students to these courses on a first come basis, from a list of students who email us that they are interested in taking these courses. So if you are potentially interested in either of these courses you should email Vijaya Wunnava (VWunnava@middlebury.edu) as soon as possible and ask to be put on the list.

If you have any questions, about which course is right for you, feel free to contact Dave Colander (Colander@Middlebury@edu)
