Cognex is a world leader in industrial machine vision, providing solutions for image-based barcode reading and 2D and 3D inspection. Cognex pairs world-class algorithms with advanced hardware to provide high-speed and extremely effective vision systems.
Our headquarters are in Natick, MA, just 30 minutes outside Boston, but we have plenty of other engineering offices such as Portland, OR, Milwaukee, WI, and Boulder, CO. Cognex has grown considerably in the past few years and is always looking for talent. Recently, the company has decided to invest more heavily in young talent and has been hiring more new graduates. The best part about Cognex, however, is the culture. I’m sure you’ve heard every other company mention that they have unique culture, but Cognex really is something else. Every Halloween the entire company dresses in costume and spends the day celebrating, including a parade down Rt. 9 in Natick and a big party that evening at a nearby hotel. We play Ultimate Frisbee every day in the field outside our office, and have outings and events throughout the year.
