The Psychosocial Research Program at Butler Hospital is seeking a full-time research assistant to work on NIH-funded research projects relating to women’s perinatal mental health, starting in June 2018. This position primarily involves working on clinical treatment studies are examining the efficacy of novel behavioral interventions for pregnant women with depression symptoms (PI: Cynthia Battle, Ph.D), including physical activity and yoga-based interventions. The Research Assistant will be responsible for screening and recruiting research participants, conducting assessments, entering data, and conducting-based community outreach. In addition, some work on other studies related to mood disorders or women’s mental health may be involved. Please note that a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required. The position is based at the Butler Hospital Psychosocial Research Program, located in Providence, Rhode Island, which is affiliated with Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
