Yenching Academy of Peking University is now accepting applications through December 1, 2025. The program aims to build bridges between China and the rest of the world through an interdisciplinary master’s program in China Studies. This initiative brings together young people who have demonstrated a talent for leadership and innovation. At Yenching, they are immersed in an intensive learning environment where they can explore China and its role in the world—past, present, and future. The Blakemore Foundation Accepting Applications for Advanced Language and Art History Study in East and SE Asia
The Blakemore Foundation Asian Language Fellowships supports an academic year of advanced language study at an approved intensive full-time language programs in East and SE Asia. It provides full tuition and a stipend for travel, living and study expenses. Applications are due by December 30, 2025 with grants awarded in late March/early April 2026 for study beginning in the 2026/2027 academic year.

Eligibility: Applicants must be American citizens or permanent residents of the United States who are pursuing a professional, business, or academic career that involves the regular use of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, or Khmer. Superior candidates in fields such as academia, STEM, environmental studies, international business, accounting, law, medicine, journalism, architecture, teaching, social or NGO work, and government service are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility Requirements
• Be an American citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
• Be pursuing a professional, business, or academic career that involves the regular use of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, or Khmer.
• By the start of the grant, have (at minimum) a bachelor’s degree.
• Be at or near an advanced level in the language. By the start of the grant, applicants must have completed (at minimum) the third year of language classes at the college level, through formal classroom study at a college or university and/or in rigorous college-level language programs.
• Be able to devote oneself exclusively to full-time intensive language study during the term of the grant; grants are not made for part-time study or research.
2026 Blakemore Kingfisher Art History Language Fellowships are for advanced language study in China, Taiwan and Korea for individuals pursuing careers in Chinese or Korean art history prior to the 20th century.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada, or a foreign national studying at a college or university in the United States or Canada.
• Have demonstrated intent to pursue an academic career in Chinese or Korean art history prior to the 20th century.
• By the start of the grant, have (at minimum) a bachelor’s degree.
• By the start of the grant, applicants must have completed (at minimum) the second year of language classes at the college level, through formal classroom study in rigorous college-level language programs. Applicants who have completed only two years of language study may be expected to participate in an intensive summer program before the academic year.
Study and Work in Germany with the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX), Deadline Nov. 1
The CBYX for Young Professionals is now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 program year. This year-long fellowship, funded by the German Bundestag (parliament) and the U.S. Congress, provides participants the opportunity to study and work in Germany.
Eligibility: U.S. citizens, 18.5 – 24 years old, a high school diploma, and clear career goals and some work experience in their desired career field. German knowledge or a college degree are not required. Click here to learn more.

Once accepted, 65 young professionals from the U.S. will spend August 2026 – June 2027 in Germany attending language school, taking university or trade/technical classes, and completing an internship in their prospective career field. We seek applicants whose professional and educational ambitions would benefit from a year in Germany.

September 10 Event: Learn about the Master of Public Policy Program at St. Andrews

Professor David Jaeger, Founding Director, will be on campus next Wednesday to speak about the new program at St. Andrews University, Scotland. Please join him to learn about the program, where students will gain real-world experience working on a group “Policy-in-Practice” project for a domestic or international client. MPP students will focus on data analysis and policy evaluation, incorporating generative AI as a coding tool. Unlike most MPP degrees in the US, the St. Andrews program takes one calendar year.

Gilman Program Now Accepting Applications – Deadline Oct 3, 11:59 pm PST
The U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship (Gilman) Program is pleased to launch the October 2025 application cycle today with a deadline of Friday, October 3, 2025, at 11:59pm PST. The Gilman Program supports American undergraduate students with high financial need to study or intern abroad, providing them with skills and experiences that advance their career development and expand their professional opportunities and networks that they bring back to their home communities, thereby contributing to a more prosperous United States.
The Gilman Program offers scholarships of up to $5,000 to Pell Grant recipients participating in credit-bearing abroad programs in locations with Level 1 or Level 2 Travel Advisories, according to the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel.html). Eligible study abroad programs or internships must start between December 1, 2025, and October 31, 2026.

The STEM Supplemental Award provides up to $1,000 in additional funds for students conducting STEM-related field coursework and internships abroad as part of their overseas program.
