McCall MacBain Scholarship for Graduate Study at McGill University

The McCall MacBain Scholarship is a full scholarship for master’s or professional studies at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Applications will open in June 2022. Students and graduates of Canadian and U.S. universities, as well as Canadians abroad, must apply by September 21. All other applicants must apply by August 25. Interested candidates must be nominated by Middlebury, so please contact fellowships@middlebury.edu if you plan to apply. Exploring Grad School in the UK? TH!NKUK Online Sessions March 16-18

On March 16-18, a group of 34 UK universities will collaboratively offer a range of online sessions for North American students and advisors interested in UK graduate study.

TH!NKUK will be the largest scale event organised specifically for North America, bringing England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland higher education at your fingertips.

We welcome students and advisors to our general and subject specific sessions, and we will also be offering opportunities for participants to connect with universities in 1-2-1 sessions.

What’s Included:

  • Academic Panel Sessions: these give insight into specific subject areas and involve our faculty
  • Student/Alumni Panels: hear from current North America students studying at universities in the UK, and ask questions about their experiences
  • General Sessions: Co-presented by university reps – are designed to give you information on studying in the UK and how to apply
  • University Intros: Each participating university will be offering a 10 minute introduction part of a group. Join these sessions to discover unique features and get general information about universities in UK

Beinecke Scholarship: Funding for graduate study in humanities and social sciences. Juniors only. Must have 3.7+ GPA, documented financial need, US citizen or US national. Nomination applications due Nov 10; see go/beinecke.

Goldwater Scholarship: Tuition award, STEM students planning research careers. Sophomores and juniors eligible. Must have 3.7+ GPA, US citizen or US national. Nomination applications due Nov 10; see go/goldwater.
Truman Scholarship: Funding for public service-related graduate degree. Juniors only. Strong GPA, US citizen, record of leadership and public service. Nomination applications due Nov 10; see go/truman.

For Seniors (graduating Feb or May 2020)

St. Andrews Scholarship: Funding for one year of graduate study in Scotland. Seniors/super-seniors only.  Must have 3.7+ GPA, financial need, US citizen, some Scottish ancestry. Nomination applications due Nov 10; see go/standrews.

Schwarzman Scholars Info Session

Join Christian Tanja from the Schwarzman Scholars Program to learn about this post-graduate fellowship to China. Open to international and US students, the language of instruction is English. The Schwarzman scholarship, inspired by the Rhodes scholarship, is a program designed to help future leaders meet the challenges of the 21st century and beyond by preparing them to better understand China’s culture, economy, governance, and motivations. Scholars will study for a one-year Masters’ degree in public policy, international relations, or economics and business at Tsinghua University—fully funded. Teach English in China! Deadline May 7, 2018

The China Educational Association of International Exchange (CEAIE) program will be a chance for experienced teachers to live and work in China for twelve months. The aim of the program is to promote language exchange and mutual understanding among young people at home and abroad, and to improve foreign language education in Chinese schools.
