Thom Weisel P’22 serves as Co-Chairman at Stifel. Previously Thom was Chairman and CEO of Thomas Weisel Partners Group, a firm he founded in 1999, and former Chairman of Montgomery Securities.
Thom has been recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award of National Venture Capital Association in 2006, the George Steinbrenner Sport Leadership Award of the U.S. Olympic Foundation in 2011 and was recently inducted into the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame Class of 2017. Thom has been on the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation Board since 1977 and was the Chairman from 1983 through 1994. He has been Chairman of the USA Cycling Foundation Board since its founding in 2000. Thom currently serves on the Board of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
Previously, he served on the boards of NASDAQ, Stanford Endowment Management Board, Empower America, and Harvard Business School Advisory Board. He is former chairman of Capital Campaign for California School of Arts and Crafts along with former trustee of Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Thom graduated from Stanford University with distinction and honors in Economics and obtained his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
