Girls on the Run is an after school girl empowerment program that blends an evidence-based social/emotional curriculum with physical workouts to nurture physical, social, and emotional health in elementary school-aged girls. The program is VERY popular at Mary Hogan school, and they are hoping to recruit some college-aged coaches to meet the growing demand.

They are currently looking for volunteers to assist their head coaches with lessons and group workouts.

Their sessions will be held at Mary Hogan School on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:15 – 4:45 pm. The 10-week season begins on March 19th, culminates with a Northern Vermont 5K event on June 1st, and ends with a team celebration on June 4th. They also do a community service project, which consists of running a water aid station for the Middlebury Maple Run half-marathon event in May.
