This is a very good program, check it out. The Forest Foundation Summer Internship Program provides opportunities for undergraduate students to gain experience in the non-profit world through a paid summer internship and accompanying leadership development program.
Through placements at non-profit organizations in Greater Boston, interns engage in the general operations of a host agency while completing tasks and projects that help advance the agency’s work in the community.
An integral part of the program is a series of leadership and professional development workshop days facilitated by Forest Foundation and drawing on experts in the field. This leadership training helps interns understand the larger implications of their work in relation to community problem solving through philanthropy, public work and policy, while exposing them to current leaders in the field.
