Planned Parenthood Vermont Action Fund (PPVTAF) is hiring one intern for each of the following campuses: University of Vermont, Middlebury College, Castleton University, and Bennington College to assist existing Planned Parenthood Generation Action Teams in their work to cultivate and manage activists and volunteers, raise public awareness of sexual and reproductive health issues, and represent Planned Parenthood at public events.
Interns are required to commit to 10-15 hours a week during their college/university’s Spring and Fall semesters. Intern will receive a stipend to cover the cost of expenses during the duration of the internship.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Interest in sexual and reproductive health care, education, and advocacy
- Excellent writing and research skills
- Commitment to a team orientation
- Computer literacy. Experience with databases essential
- Experience working with volunteers
- Ability to speak publicly
- Knowledge of VT politics and issue-based campaign work preferred
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Strong track record for taking initiative
