From the folks at the Vermont Tech Jam:

Malina Kirn will be teaching an Intro to Python class with something to learn for absolute beginners and more experienced programmers alike. Anyone of any experience level is welcome to come learn in a supportive and welcoming environment! This is the first part in what will be a multi-part series. This first session will be on Python syntax and scope, as well as introducing Jupyter and Colaboratory.

Participants should bring a laptop. Additionally, please register for a Colaboratory account (https://colab.research.google.com) well in advance of the Meetup. Google is providing accounts based on demand, so there may be a delay before you are given an account.

We are asking for a suggested donation of $10 per person for the class. Feel free to give more or less as you are able.

Important to know:
WiMLDS’s mission is to support and promote women practicing, studying or interested in the fields of machine learning and data science. This learning community was created for women by women as a comfortable space to explore these fields, but we welcome all new members who are considerate of this mission.
