Are you a caring, compassionate and understanding person? Would you like to help others on their paths in addiction recovery? Then consider volunteering at the Turning Point Center of Addison County.
Andrew Stoner ’17 highly recommends volunteering with the Turning Point Center and writes,
I began volunteering at the Turning Point Center of Addison County during my sophomore year at Middlebury. Volunteering at the Turning Point Center made it possible for me to have experiences that broadened my perspective as both a student and future medical professional. The experience that I gained talking with individuals in recovery in the relaxed setting of a peer-to-peer recovery support center helped me understand the realities of addiction and poverty that individuals in the Middlebury community face. I credit my experience at the Turning Point Center with developing my ability to provide compassionate support for individuals facing severe life challenges, a skill that has proven to be invaluable to me as I embark on a career in medicine.
Please call or stop by the Centers at 54 A1 Creek Road, Middlebury to fill out a recovery support worker application, they are always looking for great Volunteers.
