About the Vermont Ventures Trip series:

Vermont Ventures Series is a new program out of Middlebury College’s Innovation Hub which serves to engage Middlebury students with the exciting entrepreneurial activity and industries emerging in Vermont. This program emerged in an effort to put Vermont on students’ radars as they’re exploring internship and work opportunities. The MiddVentures community offers a series of monthly field trips with local industry groups, pairing 2-3 ventures and giving students a glimpse into the great work happening here in Vermont. We launched the series in October and have made trips to Seedsheet, AquaViTea, Stonecutter, Shacksbury Cider, Bees Wrap, and May West.

The next trip we are planning is a trip up to Burlington for students interested in the healthcare and technology space. We have confirmed three innovators in this industry ((Ethan Bechtel of OhMD, Nick Donowitz of THINKmd, and Nick Lovejoy of Staple Health) and will be meeting them at VCET so students can experience the co-working environment up in Burlington as well. Any students interested careers in pre-med, healthcare, medicine, and technology are encouraged to sign up! Students will hear from the founders themselves about how they got started, challenges and failures, and breakthrough moments along the way. There are limited seats available in the van, so please email lscott@middlebury.edu or like the most recent post on the Facebook group to reserve your spot! Van to leave Middlebury at 3:45pm and return on campus by 7:30 on the afternoon of Thursday, January 11th.
