In an effort to reduce the number of all-student e-mails, MiddNotes is now the primary means of communicating with the entire student body (excluding announcements related to emergencies, health, policy and compliance, or other special circumstances). Special permission to send all-student e-mails must be granted by the Dean of the College.

All students, faculty, and staff can make college-related announcements via MiddNotes. Once a week, on Friday mornings, a “digest” version of the content will be sent to students via e-mail, with links that take them back to the full text of the announcement.

How to post to MiddNotes:

  • Visit go/post
  • Log in with your Middlebury username and password
  • Fill in the title (“Enter title here”)
  • Put your message in the text box
  • Click on “Save Draft” in the right-hand toolbox (“Publish”)
  • “Preview” your work
  • Click on the “Publish” button

Posts will not be viewable to the public until they have been reviewed and approved by the Office of the Dean of the College.

We hope you’ll use MiddNotes for your announcements, to help reduce all-student e-mails. All announcements posted at MiddNotes by 8 p.m. on Thursdays will be included in the weekly summary to students on Friday mornings. Please plan ahead.
