Universal Music Group Externship

What’s an externship? How will an externship benefit me? Well, these are questions a Middlebury student would normally ask when receiving an e-mail about externship opportunities from the Career Services Office. Of course, you may gloss it over  and move on to the next e-mail, but here are a few pointers explaining why an externship opportunity is as important as an internship. Let’s break it down:

A Middlebury externship takes place in the Fall break (October 18-19) and it’s a learning opportunity to give you a short taste of professional experience in the field you are interested in. Simply, shadowing for a couple of days. You will not be treated as such in the background, but will be fully immersed in the experience, ranging from sitting in meetings to working with different departments.
