Seniors of Scottish Descent, Consider St. Andrew’s Fellowship – Nov. 10 Internal Deadline

This scholarship offers an opportunity for US students to study in the UK, with a goal of promoting cultural interchange and good will between Scotland and the US. This scholarship provides $30,000 to supports one year of graduate or advanced degree study.

First- and Second-Years: Apply for Fulbright UK Summer Institute (Plus Upcoming Webinar 11/18)

Applications for 2026 cycle of the Fulbright UK Summer Institutes open on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 for these 3–4 week academic and cultural summer programs for US undergraduates. Those accepted have an opportunity to study at one of six universities across England, Northern Ireland, and Scotland.

Primarily for first-generation students who are US citizens with little or no travel experience outside North America.

Considering a Master of Public Policy? Join this Webinar to Learn about the St. Andrews Program – Oct. 1, 6 pm ET

David Jaeger, Professor of Economics at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, will host a virtual information session on October 1, 6:00pm ET, to connect with students about the school’s new one-year Master of Public Policy program. 

The defining characteristic of the program is a focus on policy analysis and causal inference, with coding in Python and integrating generative AI as a coding tool. The degree is open to all interested students with a B+ or above GPA, regardless of undergraduate major.

St Andrews will offer a 10% discount to students who commit to the program this fall in this inaugural year.

September 10 Event: Learn about the Master of Public Policy Program at St. Andrews

Professor David Jaeger, Founding Director, will be on campus next Wednesday to speak about the new program at St. Andrews University, Scotland. Please join him to learn about the program, where students will gain real-world experience working on a group “Policy-in-Practice” project for a domestic or international client. MPP students will focus on data analysis and policy evaluation, incorporating generative AI as a coding tool. Unlike most MPP degrees in the US, the St. Andrews program takes one calendar year.

Congrats to St. Andrew’s Scholarship Winner – Josiah Durfee, ‘25

Josiah Durfee, a political science major and Geography minor, will head to the University of St. Andrew’s in Scotland this Fall to pursue his Master of Letters (MLitt) degree in Strategic Studies, with his St. Andrews Scholarship. This opportunity will allow him to deepen his study of conflict and strategy and continue research on the conflict in Ukraine. Congratulations Josiah!
