The Biomass Energy Resource Center (BERC), a mission-based nonprofit working nationally to promote the sustainable use of community-scale biomass energy, is seeking an Intern to join its fuel supply team in Montpelier for the summer. This is an unpaid, part-time internship with the benefit of helping communities and others make the most of their local energy sources. The selected candidate will gain resume-worthy, real-world experience in a comfortable and relaxed office environment in Vermont’s capital city.
Responsibilities include collecting, sorting, storing, and analyzing data; designing and implementing a national survey of wood fuel suppliers; and other general tasks as interest and need dictate.
The ideal candidate is working towards a degree in forestry, natural resource management, environmental science, or the natural sciences; has experience with MS Excel or Access; possesses strong analysis and writing skills; and is organized.
