Winter Term Intern, Global Conservation Campaigns Team at The Nature Conservancy (TNC)

Earn credit while working as the winter term intern with the Global Conservation Campaigns (GCC) team at TNC. This team serves as consultants to the state chapters to help create new conservation funding through legislative initiatives and ballot campaigns at the state and local level. GCC is also working on TNC’s five major initiatives both nationally and internationally: water, oceans and coasts, cities, land, and climate. TNC Summer Internships: Climate Change Policy, Urban Agriculture & GIS Info Session 11/14

You are invited to meet with Middlebury’s partner The Nature Conservancy (TNC) GLOBE program and their Youth Programs Coordinator, Shawneece Hennighan this Wednesday, November 14 for an information session on campus from 4:30 PM in CCI’s Adirondack House Library. Middlebury has 3 specific internships earmarked for our students for this 2019 summer focused on: climate change and clean energy policy in Washington, DC, GIS research in Alaska, and urban agriculture in ChicagoThe TNC GLOBE program provides undergraduate students with diverse backgrounds with paid summer internship opportunities in the environmental sector across the country. The internships range from science-based education to communications to public policy to geospatial research—a whole range of opportunities for our liberal arts students.

How to get a Winter InternshipEach Winter Term, many Middlebury students participate in internships.

These internships are a valuable opportunity to earn academic credit while having high-level exposure to work tied to student’s academic and/or professional interests.

On Monday, September 24 at 4:30pm, the Center for Careers and Internships will host an information session for students interested in Winter Internships in Adirondack House.

The information session will cover the steps needed to secure a winter internship, as well as what students need to do to earn internship credit pr secure funding support from the CCI.
