Science and Activity Camp for Elementary School Students

Elementary students, kindergarten through sixth grade, are invited to sample age-appropriate science investigations designed and facilitated by the students in Professor Gregg Humphrey’s course EDST 0315 Teaching Elementary Mathematics and Science.

The dates are Tuesday, April 29, and Thursday, May 1, from 3:15-4:15 p.m. in McCardell Bicentennial Hall Room 311.  Children can attend either of these days, but only one.  Please call (443-5013) or e-mail Trish Dougherty at pdougher@middlebury.edu to register. You are welcome to attend with your child.

Alexander Twilight Afterschool Series: Jr Explorers

Junior Explorers!   Are you ready to explore?!

Join Page One Literacy volunteers Kenneth and Caroline as they voyage through space and time, investigating everything from dinosaurs to the deep sea!

On Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30 in Twilight Hall the explorers will dive into a theme and use reading, art, science, and games to learn about it. This program is designed for middle to upper elementary level students. Starting March 6 and running for six weeks (with College spring break week off.) Literacy Olympics for Children

Professor Gregg Humphrey’s course, EDST 0305: Teaching Elementary Literacy and Social Studies, will be hosting an activity fair on the theme of “Literacy Olympics” for children in grades K-6 on Tuesday, November 13, from 3-4:15 p.m. in Twilight Hall. If you have children who would be interested in attending please contact Trish Dougherty, pdougher@middlebury.edu with names and ages to reserve a spot. Space is limited to 24; please RSVP by Friday, November 9.
