Senior pitcher Geena Constantin has helped lead the Panther softball team to its first NESCAC title and NCAA playoff berth.
Seven Panther athletic teams roared into post-season play this spring; six teams are still competing as of 5/12. (The men’s golf team narrowly missed the cut for the second round, placing 18th out of 40 teams. The top 15 teams advanced.)
Baseball: Will compete for the NESCAC championship at Amherst on May 13-15.
Softball: Will compete in an NCAA regional in Ithaca, New York, and will face Keuka College at 2:30 on May 12. UPDATE: Middlebury fell to Keuka, 5-0, and will play either Ithaca or Centenary in an elimination game on Friday.
Men’s Lacrosse: Defeated Castleton State, 24-7, in the first round of the NCAA tournament. Will face NESCAC-rival Amherst in the second round. The game is on May 14 at 1:00 p.m. and will be played at Amherst.
Women’s Lacrosse: Defeated Ithaca, 14-7, in the first round of the NCAA tournament. Will face Trinity in an NCAA regional match-up to be played at Trinity on May 14 at 11:30 a.m.
Men’s Tennis: Will host an NCAA regional on May 13-15.
Women’s Tennis: Will travel to Amherst for an NCAA regional on May 13-15.
