Students conduct mentored research projects, and have many chances to interact, give and receive feedback and support. They also participate in a rich assortment of enrichment activities, workshops and field trips around the theme of translational ecology.

Venture For America is seeking college seniors and recent grads to join our two-year Fellowship program. If you are excited to learn and grow while working at a startup in one of 14 cities across the country. We’re looking for applicants from any academic background who are well-rounded, highly motivated, and community-focused to join our newest class!  Our application consists of an activities submission, written application, a Skype interview, and a full-day in-person interview. Legal Action Program, Legal Assistant at Justice in Motion – Due 1/30 @ 7:00pm

Program Description

Justice in Motion is a non-profit organization with the mission of protecting migrant rights across borders. At the core of this mission is the belief that all migrants should be treated fairly and should have access to justice, and that in today’s globalized world, cross-border partnerships within civil society are essential to fair treatment and justice for migrants. To this end, Justice in Motion has designed an innovative model which partners US and Canadian lawyers with members of Justice in Motion’s Defender Network to collaborate on concrete legal cases for migrants. The Defender Network is comprised of human rights lawyers and community-based organizations in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Justice in Motion’s legal action, capacity building, and policy programs provide advocates throughout the region with the necessary skills, knowledge, and connections to ensure migrants have access to justice wherever and whenever they need it.
Justice in Motion is currently seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) college graduate for a new paralegal position. The paralegal will work closely with and report directly to the Legal Director. This position provides a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team of internationally-minded creative thinkers and change makers.
About The Public International Law & Policy Group
The Public International Law & Policy Group (PILPG) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that operates as a global, pro bono law firm providing free assistance to developing states and governments involved in violent conflicts. To facilitate the utilization of this legal assistance, PILPG also provides policy formulation advice and training on matters related to conflict resolution. To date, PILPG has advised over 20 states and governments on the legal aspects of peace negotiations and post-conflict constitution drafting, and over two dozen states and war crimes tribunals in Europe, Asia, and Africa concerning the protection of human rights, self-determination, and transitional justice.

Working with Nespresso to develop a coffee sector in South Sudan fresh from gaining independence.
Partnering with Unilever to design a new women-owned micro-retail model for the sale of clean water
in Nigeria. Working with The Coca Cola Company to develop new local sourcing models from
smallholder fruit farmers in East Africa. And working with Syngenta to identify new base of the
pyramid distribution models for high quality seed in West and East Africa. These are just some
examples of the type of projects overseen by TechnoServe’s Strategic Initiatives unit, as we partner
with multinational corporations to deliver on our mission to use business solutions to help solve
poverty.  TechnoServe is a global NGO that celebrated its 50th birthday in 2018. We operate in 30 countries
around the world, with more than 1,500 staff. Our work is based on the philosophy that if you provide
