Matrix Economics is a boutique economics consulting firm in Boston, specializing in high-profile antitrust litigation and merger reviews. We assist corporate clients and government agencies in developing rigorous and compelling economic evidence to evaluate issues of market definition, market power, and competitive effects of alleged conduct.

We are seeking highly‐motivated recent college graduates with a degree in economics, statistics, or a related subject, with an interest in analyzing real‐world problems. We place a high value on intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, the ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally, strong quantitative and programming skills, a willingness to take initiative, a dedication to high quality, a strong work ethic, creativity, good interpersonal skills, and a positive team‐oriented attitude. Analysts are expected to learn quickly; apply their academic training; solve problems; organize and present their work; and communicate well with colleagues and clients. The work provides Analysts with exposure to the business, legal, and academic worlds and serves as a basis for many to pursue M.B.A., Ph.D., or J.D. programs.

Check out the full details in Handshake here.  Applicants interested in being considered for first‐round interviews should have applications completed by Friday October 26.

This firm is actively interested in receiving applications from Middlebury students.  I’ve spoken on the phone with the recruiter and your materials will be noticed.  You will see they want letters of recommendation.  This is important to them, but please do not let it be a barrier to you applying.  You can submit the other materials now, and ask a professor or past supervisor for a letter as soon as possible.
