Fields of Interest
Political Economy, Applied Microeconomics, Development Economics
I graduated from Middlebury College in 2013 with a B.A. in Chinese and Political Science. Before coming to Stanford, I worked as a senior research associate for three years at the American Enterprise Institute, a think tank in Washington D.C., primarily researching international political economy topics. I am currently interested in exploring questions related to the impact that political and economic institutions have on economic development, and analysis of policies that improve economic growth and social welfare.
Current Projects
I am currently working with David Broockman on a project that explores the impact that the Voting Rights Act had on Southern Politics. I am also working with Ali Yurukoglu on a project that models the supply of cable news to understand the effect of election coverage during the 2012 presidential campaign.
