What is ‘Princeton in…Africa, Asia & Latin America’?

Since 1898, the independent, non-profit organization located at Princeton University has long been driven by a mission to foster mutual appreciation and cultural understanding by connecting service-minded graduates and partner organizations in Africa, Asia and Latin America through immersive work experiences that transform perspectives, cultivate long-lasting relationships and benefit local and global communities. It is their vision that through extended exposure to global workplaces and cultures, Fellows will develop a life-long appreciation for and engagement in parts of the world, as well as a commitment to contributing to the communities they find themselves a part of after their Fellowships end.
If you are a Senior and have had any thoughts of working abroad for a year, you might very well be a good match for these programs. Each region of the world has a different management in terms of applying, so below is just a tickler to get this on a your mind and your radar if you are looking for a transformative experience working with a nonprofit that you are partnered with for one year of service.

10/9/17: Attend the Webinar Info Session – You can attend their online webinar on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 6-8pm EDT.  When you join their applicant mailing list by emailing piafapp@princetoninafrica.org you will receive instructions for attending the webinar when they are available. You do not need to RSVP to attend the webinar. If you are on the applicant mailing list, you will automatically be invited to the webinar.

10/29/17: Application Deadline, Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 11:59pm EDT – Application Deadline for 2018-19 fellowships

 

Princeton in Asia

11/9/17: Application Deadline, Thursday, November 9 at 11:59pm, EST for submission of application materials. You must submit your online application, hard copy application materials (official transcript & Letter of recommendation), and application fee by this date.

Princeton in Latin America

11/6/17 – Application Deadline, Monday, November 6 at 11:59 pm, EST. The initial application process is online (hard-copy materials cannot be accepted or processed). No late applications are accepted.
