During our maintenance window this Sunday morning between 6 and 10 am we have the following activities planned:
In preparation for the data center move to Exchange St we will be switching the primary and backup roles between the Isilon NAS clusters that serve Middfiles, Crux, and Augusta. All access to MiddFiles will be affected including mapped drives or network shares to cifs:\\middcloud.middlebury.edu\middfiles, webdav to https://middfiles.middlebury.edu, sftp to middfiles.middlebury.edu, “netstorage” at http://go/netstorage.
The expected outage will be up to 30 minutes between 7am and 9am.
Note: This will include schedule programs/scripts that transfer files to/from middfiles (including from banner).
We will be changing the user home directory structure to a simplified format. There will be symbolic links in place to allow existing file paths to continue working as always.
