In this post we’ll introduce you to new members of the College Advancement and Public Safety departments. Please join us as we welcome Lauren and John to campus.

Lauren Wolpin Bruno joined the College as the new assistant director for graduate and specialized programs in College Advancement in July. Lauren graduated from Colby College in 2005 where she majored in environmental studies and biology.  She formerly worked in development for Ceres, a non-profit organization in Boston where she worked on advancing sustainability issues, and prior to Ceres, worked at The Trust for Public Land on conservation projects. A native of Monkton, Lauren now lives in Middlebury with her husband Ben Bruno who works in the International Student and Scholar Services department at Middlebury.  She enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

John Tester began working at the College as a Public Safety officer in July. John has 20-plus years of experience in law enforcement, public safety and security and currently lives on a 46-acre hobby farm in Orwell with his wife, Cathy, and daughter, Andrea. Cathy is also employed by Middlebury College and works in College Advancement. John enjoys woodworking and traveling and has volunteered in many ways, including managing the local baseball program in Orwell, working with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, and serving as a volunteer Little League Baseball umpire for 21 years.
