What do Robert Frost’s sweater-vest, a 17th-century King James Bible, and a Morgan horse saddle have in common? All three are artifacts found in the Middlebury College’s Special Collections. Housed in the Davis Family Library, this vast collection of rare and unique materials contains thousands of items that not only chronicle Middlebury history but also encompass a wide range of historical artifacts that are extremely useful for faculty and student research. Here at Middmag we were curious about what happens behind the scenes in the world of Midd’s Special Collections. The day we walked in, they had just received an important contribution from an alumnus.
