With the October 9th deadline rigth around the corner, we’ll wrap up an overview of Winter Term internships with a look into a few International opportunites. These positions are great for students who may be majoring in International Studies or want to get some experience abroad for a month. Here’s just a flavor of the international internships now available, but make sure to check out MOJO  for additional opportunities and more information. Reminder: The deadline to apply for internships is October 9th, and the deadline to apply for credit once you’ve secured an internship is October 28.

1. International Food Marketing Intern at Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets, Montpelier, VT

            At the center of planning and organizing international marketing activities, the intern would gain a solid understanding of marketing and business on the international level. You would be at the center of organizing and planning international marketing activities to promote Vermont agricultural products to the world

2. Program Assistant at Vermont Council on World Affairs, Burlington, VT

            Two Middlebury students have done this internship in the past and loved it! Your responsibilities as an intern would include planning professional and cultural itineraries for international visitors, event planning for receptions and speaking events, and research projects on topics in international affairs and local issues.

3. Teaching Assistant/Intern at Escuela República de Suiza, Norsara, Costa Rica

            Interns would work individually with local students to advance their skills in English communication, reading, and writing. In Costa Rica, you would be immersed in the culture of the community and develop relationships with the youth in Norsara.

4. Teaching Assistant/Intern at Escuela República de Suiza, Tungurahua, Ecuador

            There are three positions available at Escuela República de Suiza–Assistant English Teacher, Nursery aide and Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, Library/Special Projects. You would use your Spanish skills to fulfill three capacities as a Teaching Assistant, working to develop lesson plans, provide extra academic support, and assist with English instruction.

5. Service Learning in Malawi, World Camp, Inc, Asheville, NC

            World Camp will provide you with the necessary tools to become an effective teacher and a more informed global citizen through training in areas of public health and the environment.
