New England Review presents four Vermont writers: David Huddle, Gary Margolis, Janice Obuchowski, and Angela Patten will read from their work at Carol’s Hungry Mind Cafe in Middlebury on August 3 at 7 p.m.

David Huddle (Burlington) is the author of three novels, including Nothing Can Make Me Do This, and seven books of poetry, including Black Snake at the Family Reunion. He teaches at the Bread Loaf School of English.

Gary Margolis (Cornwall) is the author of the poetry collections Below the Falls and Fire in the Orchard, which was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize. He is emeritus executive director of Counseling and associate professor of English at Middlebury, and also a member of the Class of 1967.

Janice Obuchowski (Shelburne) was born and raised in Vermont. She earned an MFA in fiction from the University of California, Irvine, and is currently at work on a novel. She serves as a reader for NER.

Angela Patten (Jonesville) is the author of two poetry collections, Reliquaries and Still Listening. She teaches literature and creative writing at the University of Vermont.
