Welcome to the 2nd issue of our newly christened library newsletter, Keywords! This fall started with a flurry of activity at the Davis Family Library. We hired five new library staff members, installed two new high-tech rooms for media and videoconferencing, hosted a set of exciting new exhibits throughout the building, and set an ambitious agenda for enhancing the services and resources we make available to fuel inquiry, teaching, and learning throughout campus.
In this issue of Keywords, we offer advice on how best to access our resources when you are away from campus, how to get research help from a research librarian via online chat, and how to start producing 3D printouts. We also profile Prof. Phani Wunnava from the Economics Department, our circulation student assistant Salim Terrazas, and Arabella Holzapfel, our Electronic Resources Manager/Library Systems Specialist. We are highlight a few tips for first-year students from Special Collections & Archives.
For more regular news updates, feel free to visit our blog, which we share with Information and Technology Services (ITS) where we post frequent updates about new library resources, services, and exhibits.
I hope that the semester is proving to be productive, invigorating, and challenging in the best sense of the word.
