What shapes your desires?
Spiritual ideals? Parents? Peer Pressures? Bodily Yearnings?

This week we will be setting up a “PROXE Station” which will be asking our Middlebury College community this question and several others about desires and longings. Following this, Sarah Shin, Boston Area Director, InterVarsity USA, will be holding a talk to discuss these questions.

COREA space to build Christian relationships with one another. This week will be important training for the PROXE stations on Wednesday and Thursday as well as supporting one another.

 Sarah Shin, Boston Area Director, InterVarsity USA, will be leading a talk on the topic of Desire as follow-up to the questions and discussion taking place at the PROXE stations.

Sunday 7:30 PM, BiHall 636, Faculty-led freshmen study: Professor Matthew Dickerson is leading a co-ed Bible study discussion group for first year students. The group will explore a pair of topics: “Being a Christian and Following God on a Secular College Campus” (looking primarily at passages from the book of Daniel) and “Understanding and Living the Christian Worldview” (which will begin in Genesis and move through the Psalms and Romans).

Friday 6:00 PM, Gifford Basement Kitchen, PizzaApril and recent Midd grad Tiernan Meyer will be making pizza! Bring vegetables/meat/cheese from Proctor for your toppings, and they’ll cook up some tasty personal pizzas. Please RSVP to adodd@middlebury.edu and bring $2 to help cover the cost of dough! Fall Conference! Oct 7 – 9.

October 7 -9, 2011: Fall Conference with Intervarsity! This year, Bruce Cooke, Intervarsity staff at BU and regular guest speaker at CityLife Boston, will be speaking on Living as a Child of God.  Even if you’re unsure where you are with God, we welcome you to come, get away from campus, eat great food, and explore the topic together.

Cost: Around $40 (including meals). Contact cf@middlebury.edu for sign-up info. Click on image to open flyer. Financial aid available (half scholarships and full scholarships) if you request one from MCF by noon on Friday 9/30.
