Add Business Training to you Liberal Arts Skills this Summer!

Maybe your finance internship didn’t work out or you simply want to learn more about Business, Finance, Accounting, or Marketing this summer. There are a variety of programs available to introduce liberal arts students to business disciplines this summer. There are options available from 3 to 6 weeks; local, east-coast, west-coast, and international—and for varying levels of business knowledge. Tuck Business Bridge

Deadline: April 15

Want to stay local? The Tuck Business Bridge Program® is an intensive, career-focused program for juniors, seniors, and recent graduates of arts and sciences colleges. In four weeks they will give you the basics of accounting, marketing, and finance. There are two sessions available for flexible scheduling, and the fee covers housing and meals as well.

Swiss Finance Academy

Deadline: April 15

Live and study in beautiful Verbier, Switzerland at the Swiss Finance Academy! Besides honing their corporate finance and capital markets skills, students obtain an “inside scoop” on what it is actually like to work on Wall Street and in the City of London, processing M&A transactions or managing wealth, as they receive a perspective on the reality of daily work. Fee includes hotel accommodations, meal plan, and weekend trips to France and Italy!

BASE Summer Program at the Hass School at UC Berkeley

Deadline: April 30

The BASE Summer Program is an intensive, three-course, six-week, summer business program that exposes non-business undergraduate students in arts, sciences, and engineering to the fundamentals of business. Students study at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, one of the top three undergraduate business programs in the U.S. Housing at UC Berkeley is available for an additional fee.

The Chicago Booth Summer Business Scholars Program

Deadline: Rolling

This 3 week program allows students to live together at the University of Chicago and study marketing, accounting, financial analysis, capital markets, and competitive strategy. In addition, students can attend lectures featuring Chicago Booth’s world-renowned faculty and alumni and visit major Chicago-area corporations representing a variety of industries.

NYU Stern – Business Essentials for Non-Business Students

Deadline: Rolling ending June 4

This 3-week NYU Stern program consists of four separate courses in Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing. It is on the NYU campus in New York City, but students must find their own housing, either through NYU or elsewhere.

Holy Cross Summer Business Program

Deadline: Mid-April

The Holy Cross Summer Business Program is a four-week introduction to business focusing on understanding business, business skills, leadership development, and entrepreneurship. It includes housing and food but has a significantly lower fee than many other comparable programs.
