Topic: Fact and Fiction in Dan Brown’s Novels

 

Biography:

Professor Beyer has taught Russian language and Literature at Middlebury since 1975. He has authored over twenty-five books on the Russian language and translations from Russian into English.  Since the publication of Dan Brown’s The DaVinci Code, he has used his novels as a source for First Year students to acquire 21st Century research and analytical skills to separate fact from fiction in Brown’s novels. Students have written chapter by chapter multimedia guides, research papers and done projects on each of his novels. The student guide to Inferno has had over 230,000 hits. Currently in his first-year seminar students are doing a companion Keys to Dan Brown’s Origin, his recently released novel. His publications include33 Keys to The Lost Symbol and 22/7 Keys to Dan Brown’s Inferno.
