Biography:

Chris Herdman

Chris Herdman is an Assistant Professor of Physics at Middlebury College. Chris completed his undergraduate studies in Engineering Physics at Cornell University and received a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to his current position, Chris had postdoctoral research positions at the University of Vermont and the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo. Chris’s research interests are at the intersection of condensed matter physics and quantum information; he primarily uses computational methods to study the quantum mechanical nature of matter and information.
