    The knowledge-weighted vocabulary practice the article talks about as a feature of the LinguaStep program sounds a lot like the StudyDB program Alex developed back in 2001 and which is in use by the Russian, Japanese, Chinese, and Arabic departments.

    It’s a pretty innovative use of technology in second language acquisition, but one that isn’t widely known.
