To rid themselves of addiction the majority of addicts must go through drug rehab. There are many rehab facilities throughout the country, but they don’t all use the same methods. Some use medication to help ween the addict off of a drug, this is the method of all methadone clinics, other facilities use peer assistance to help the addicts through their recovery. Both methods have been proven to work, but they can only work if there is a strong commitment from the addict to recovery.
