Teaching Assistant Roles in Austria for 2025-26 – Apply by Jan. 15, 2025 

The US Teaching Assistantship (USTA) Program managed by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF), is now seeking applicants for the 2025-2026 academic year to teach in Austrian classrooms and serve as an ambassador of the US. This opportunity is open to US citizens (dual citizenship okay), with a completed bachelor’s degree by summer 2025 with intermediate proficiency in German. James C. Gaither Fellowship for International Affairs Seniors & Recent Grads- Internal Deadline Dec. 30, 2024

The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a think tank located in Washington D.C., seeks highly qualified college graduates for its James C. Gaither Junior Fellows Program. Junior Fellows work directly with Carnegie Senior Researchers on specific projects across 12 different issue areas that are related to its core mission “to advance cooperation between nations and promote active international engagement by the United States.” Middlebury can endorse two students. FAO Schwarz Fellowship in Social Impact, Applications Open Nov 1

The FAO Schwarz Fellowship in social impact provides graduating seniors interested in careers in social change opportunities to develop their leadership potential and professional skills.

Fellowship positions are paid, two-year experiences working at leading nonprofit organizations in Boston, New York City, and Philadelphia both in direct service roles and in leading key program initiatives.

In addition to salary and benefits, Fellowships include professional development, retreats, mentoring, and cohort experiences. Six or seven new Fellowship positions are typically available each year.

Advanced Asian Language Study Fellowships – Due Dec. 30, 2024

The Blakemore Foundation is now accepting applications for full-time advanced language study at language programs in Asia during the 2025/2026 academic year. Fellowships provide full tuition and a stipend for living, travel and study expenses. Blakemore Freeman Fellowships are awarded to graduating seniors, college graduates, graduate students and young/mid-career professionals for advanced study of Chinese (in Taiwan), Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Khmer, Thai, or Vietnamese in Asia. Study of Chinese in Beijing is available as a Blakemore Fellowship. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States, have completed (at minimum) the third year of study of the Asian language, and are ready to advance to professional fluency. For art history students who have a well-demonstrated intent to study the pre-twentieth century history of Chinese or Korean art at the doctoral level, consider the Blakemore Kingfisher Art History Language Fellowships. NIH Bioethics Accepting Post-Bac Fellowship Applications – January 15, 2024 Deadline

The NIH Department of Bioethics welcomes applications for fully funded two-year post-baccalaureate and post-doctoral research fellowships. Fellows are central to the activities and intellectual life of our interdisciplinary department, including weekly bioethics seminars, case conferences, ethics consultations, IRB deliberations, and other educational opportunities at NIH. They study ethical issues related to biomedical research, clinical practice, genetics, biotechnology, public health, health policy, population health and disparities, global health and other important issues in bioethics. They also conduct mentored research. We do not require or expect bioethics experience and encourage anyone with a strong interest to apply.
