//Today we received notice that CLS is suspending all summer language institutes for 2020 in light of the U.S. Department of State Global Level 3 Health Advisory – Reconsider Travel issued on March 11. The program made this decision with the health and well-being of participants as their priority. All 2020 finalists and alternates may reapply for the 2021 CLS program.
//Three Middlebury juniors were selected as finalists for the Truman Scholarship! Congratulations to Jacob Freedman ’21, Divya Gudur ’21, and Oscar Psychas ’21! These students were three of the 190 Truman finalists from 136 colleges and universities, selected based on their records of leadership, public service and academic achievement. The Foundation received 773 applications from 316 colleges and universities. Finalists will be interviewed by the Foundation’s Regional Review Panels in March and April.

2/18 at 4:30pm in Library 201: Learn about fellowships to the UK and Ireland! These include the Churchill, Gates-Cambridge, Marshall, Mitchell, Rhodes and St. Andrews. Many require nomination by Middlebury to apply. Learn about the fellowships and the applications processes.
2/20 at 4:30pm in Axinn 232: Learn more about the Fulbright and Watson fellowships–what they are, how to apply and more.

| About the Engaged Scholarship & Social Justice (ESSJ) Undergraduate Research Conference: Started in 2015, the Engaged Scholarship & Social Justice Undergraduate Research Conference is a national conference focused solely on undergraduate research on engaged scholarship. It is a great opportunity for your students to present their research and get feedback from faculty. Students are able to engage in dialogue and get a sense of what it means to get one’s work heard beyond your own campus—especially for those interested in doctoral programs. |
