Unhappy about this debate, Lester Holt seemed to do the best that he could. However, Mr. Holt dropped the ball a couple times. Moving to Canada!
I was surprised by how willing Holt was in some places to intercede to fact check statements – particularly Trump’s – while at other points he receded into the woodwork. But being the moderator at these debates is a thankless job.

Yes, we are just beginning to think he might take Wisconsin here, but we haven’t crunched the numbers as yet.
