El Escorial Historical residence of the king of Spain. The king was living here because it is away from Madrid and is much more peaceful. It is about 28 miles away from Madrid.
Opel A French automobile designed by a German engineer, common in Europe. This was the same type of car that Ávila escaped in with the Uber driver. 
Royal wax seal This is the coat of arms of Spain that is used to seal letters from the royal palace. Using wax seals were traditional ways of sealing letters because one could instantly tell if the letters had been read if the seal was not fully intact.
SUV These are types of automobiles that are usually light trucks or family style cars.
security detail This is a group of individuals usually agents meant to protect the king. It is more than just a body guard – it is a whole group of usually military personnel.
