Exam Hours at the Libraries

The Davis Family Library will offer extended hours starting Sunday, May 3rd. We will open at 9 am that day and be open 24 hours through Friday, May 8th, when we will close at the regular 11 pm. Saturday, May 9th will be regular hours, 9 am – 11 pm. 24/7 will resume on Sunday starting at 9 am and the library will close at 8 pm on Tuesday, May 19th.

Armstrong Library maintain regular hours, with extended hours on Friday and Saturday, May 15th and 16th.

library workshopAre you working on a large writing project? Scrivener can help! Scrivener is a software program that breaks down your writing into manageable “chunks,” and brings your research and writing together into a single conceptual workspace.

The library will offer a Scrivener workshop on April 29th at 4:30p.m. Participants will learn how to create a new writing project, how to import existing work, and how to outline, research, and write with Scrivener’s unique features. This workshop is aimed at thesis writers but is open to all members of the College community. For more information on Scrivener and to sign up for the workshop, visit go.middlebury.edu/scrivener.

Reduced Library Hours for Spring Recess

The libraries will have reduced hours for the Spring recess starting Friday, March 20th. Regular hours will resume Monday, March 30th. A full listing of the hours can be found here, or at go/hours.

Please note the libraries will be closed on Thursday, March 26th for in-service.

Let us help you with the next stage of your journey as a power researcher in our Winter Term workshop “Zotero and Beyond: Power Research Tips for Student Researchers.” You’ll see how the research process is itself a way of synthesizing your findings and mapping out next steps. By the time you leave, you’ll be an expert in Zotero, the citation management tool that can help you save, organize, and cite your sources, and you’ll encounter a variety of note-taking strategies and see the ways that developing personalized research routines can jump-start you into the writing process.

Monday 11/24: 7:30 am – 1 am
Tuesday 11/25: 7:30 am – 8 pm
Wednesday 11/26: 9 am – 5 pm
Thursday-Saturday 11/27-29: CLOSED
Sunday 11/30: 24/7 exam period begins at 9 am. Card access only outside of regular library hours.

Library Hours for Fall break

The Libraries will have reduced hours this weekend for Fall break.

Davis will close at 8 pm on Friday and be open 9-5 Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. On Tuesday, we will open at 9 am and close at the regular 1 am.

Armstrong will close at 5 pm on Friday and be closed Saturday and Sunday. Hours Monday will be 9-5 and Tuesday will be 9-midnight.

Regular hours resume on Wednesday.
