The Vermont Campus of Middlebury is 278 acres of maintained grounds, maintained by the landscape department of 15. We have over 85 acres in lawn, 45 acres of athletic surfaces, 11 miles of sidewalk, 20 acres of parking lots, and over 6 miles of roads. We are an Arbor Day Foundation certified Tree Campus, with over 2400 trees maintained as individuals. Our grounds are an educational resource, as well as a historic landscape, and we strive to make them inclusive for all.
